Fall Season Registration opens Saturday, September 12th!

Ok players, the time has come! The new season will start on Tuesday, September 29th at the Zipp fields. Registration will begin at noon on Saturday, September 12th. This will be a first come, first serve registration with a limit of 6 teams per division. This is only for team registration and here are the details:

  • A new set of rules has been posted to the website with some changes from last season. Please review them thoroughly.
  • We will be doing the same thing as last season; 8 regular season games followed by two weeks of playoffs.
  • We will be doing (hopefully) 4 full divisions this season. Division 1, Division 2, Over 35, and Coed.
  • Division 1 - Open top division and the most competitive.
  • Division 2 - Still competitive but not quite as much as D1
  • Over 35 - It is exactly as it sounds but you will be allowed to have no more than 3 players between 32-35; please see new rules
  • Coed - A fun division with the main rule being no more than 3 of the outfield players (non-keeper) on the field can be male at any time; please see new rules
  • Just to be clear, female players DO NOT have to only play in the coed division. They are more than welcome to play in any division they see fit.
  • This will be first come first serve on registering a team slot. We will not be playing favorites or using the good ol boy system. The only exception is the returning champions from each division. We hope to keep this tradition moving forward every season.
  • As of right now, we will be capping each division at 6 teams. If we find out that only 4 slots of a division will be taken but more teams want to join another division, we may look at increasing the cap to allow for this. No guarantees.
  • If we can't get at least 4 teams for a division, we will either have to refund money or figure something else out. We feel 4 teams is the minimum needed for a division. Just because you register a team in a division doesn't guarantee that division will happen. We are trying our best to make all 4 divisions happen; we just don't know what the demand will be.
  • This initial registration will be for captains to register a team slot. It is not for everyone to begin registering as individual players. This will just be to pay for the slot of whatever division the captain wants to create a team in. We did something very similar last season. Once the team slots are filled or almost filled, we will open up individual player registration so the captains can get their players registered and ready to go.
  • We are really hoping to not have to make teams from free agents again as it is very time-consuming and not that enjoyable. What we will do however, is once we open up player registration and we begin to have a list of free agents, we will supply this list to any captain wanting to add to their roster.
  • The team fee this season will be $650 plus a $25ish fee for the site(we cannot control this fee). The referee fee per team per game will go up from $15 to $20. We think the referee fee change will make it easier for everyone involved. After doing the math and assuming you have 14 players registered, it comes out to about $60 per player for the season.
  • Games will be played on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights this season due to a higher demand of teams (same possible time slots as last season). We currently haven't laid out which division will play on which night but we will do our best to try and keep it consistent from week to week. If a division ends up with more than 6 teams, they are guaranteed to go across multiple nights.

We are truly hoping to have a really good turnout this season and want to see all 24 slots filled if possible. Thank you and good luck!
